Brighton-Allston residents seek to form a separate town.

Benjamin Baker and 66 others petition the General Court “that all inhabitants of Cambridge on the south side of the Charles River may be incorporated as a distinct and separate town.” When no opposition to the petition is encountered, Allston-Bright becomes a separate town in 1807.*
